Volunteer at the Daniel Boone Homestead
Volunteers play an essential role at the Daniel Boone Homestead. Without volunteers we would not be able to maintain the quality and scope of programs and operations that allow us to serve an ever growing and diverse audience. The Daniel Boone Homestead has a wide variety of opportunities available for all ages and interests.
Volunteer Opportunities Include:
Historic Tour Guide - Interpret the Homestead and grounds to visitors of all ages.
Front Desk - Welcome and greet guides answer questions and ticket sales.
Special Events - Assist in live history demonstrations and other special events held at the site.​
School Programs - Guide children of varying grade levels through tours and activities.​
Research - Help research topics of interest to the site.​
Gardening - Help care for our period gardens by planting and maintaining flower, herb and vegetable beds.​

All volunteers are required to have a Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check and a Child Abuse History Clearance to assist on site.
